Have you ever wanted to make the delicious Pizza at home, but couldn't make it because you don't have an oven !!




Well today I'm here with you with an easy recipe of super delicious, super tasty and mouth watering hand tossed Pizza which you can make at your home without an oven. 
So next time you won't make an excuse for not making Pizza by yourself.
Sounds interesting !! huhh?

We'll make Pizza from the ingredients which are usually present in our kitchen and that's why it would be healthy as well.

Actually the first modern Pizza was invented in the 1889 (late 19th century) by an Italian Chef Raffaele Esposito for Queen Margarita.

So basically Margarita pizza is the oldest modern pizza.
In Southern Italy there's a city called Naples and tomatoes from this city are known to be the king of tomatoes which were used to make Neapolitan sauce or Napoli sauce or Napoletana sauce names to basic tomato-based sauces which is used as pizza sauce.

Some quick tips for Tawa Pizza
  • It would be better if you will prepare the dough 1 night before you're planning to make pizza. Otherwise you can use dry yeast/ baking soda and baking powder for instant results.


  • While making the Pizza sauce, cook the sauce till it's partially dry otherwise it'll make our pizza soggy.


  • Prick the pizza base you've prepared before putting it on the pan otherwise the base will puff up. Nor will it be crispy neither would have form of a pizza.



  • Grease the sides of the pizza base with butter after placing it in flat pan (tawa) to cook it nicely from sides.

Ingredients - 

For making dough - 
  •  1 cup all purpose flour ( मैदा )
  • ¼ cup wheat flour ( गेहूं का आटा )
  • Salt as per taste ( स्वाद अनुसार नमक )
  • 3 tbsp curd/yogurt ( दही )
  • 1tsp baking powder and 1tsp baking soda (If planned to make dough instantly) ( मीठा सोड़ा , बेकिंग पाउडर )
For veggies toppings -
  • 1 large roughly chopped onion ( प्याज़ )
  • 1 roughly chopped capsicum ( शिमलामिर्च )
  • 1 roughly chopped tomato ( टमाटर )
  • 2-3 chopped mushrooms ( मशरूम )
  • 1tsp oregano ( ओरिगैनो )
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes ( लाल मिर्च पाउडर )
  • Salt as per taste ( स्वाद अनुसार नमक )
  • Mozzarella cheese ( मोत्ज़ारेला पनीर )
  • Melted butter ( मक्खन )
For Pizza Sauce -
  • 1 medium sized onion finely chopped ( प्याज़ )
  • 2-3 garlic cloves (  लहसुन )
  • 1 cup fresh Tomato puree ( टमाटर का भर्ता )
  • 1 tsp Tomato ketchup ( टमाटर की चटनी )
  • 1tsp oregano ( ओरिगैनो )
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes ( लाल मिर्च पाउडर )
  • Salt as per taste ( स्वाद अनुसार नमक )




Directions to follow -

For making dough -
  •  Take 1 cup all purpose flour and add ¼ cup wheat flour.
  • Add salt as per taste.
  • Add 1tsp baking powder and baking soda and mix well (You don't need to add baking powder and baking soda if you are making the dough for the next day).
  • Add curd and mix well
  • With the help of luke warm water make a soft and stretchy dough (the dough should not be sticky) .
  • Kneed the dough for 5-7 minutes.
  • Grease the dough with oil and cover it. Set it aside for 1hour in warm and dry place.
For Veggies Toppings -
  • Heat 2tbsp oil in a pan and add chopped onions, capsicum, mushrooms and tomatoes and toss them well ( you can use other vegetables also) .
  • Add oregano, chilli flakes and salt to taste.
  • You just have to slightly cook your veggies so that they aren't completely raw when you put them on your pizza.
  • Let them cool a bit and put the veggies in refrigerator.
For Pizza Sauce -
  • Heat 1tbsp oil in a pan and add chopped garlic and cook for 20-25 seconds.
  • Then add finely chopped onions and mix well.
  • Add tomato puree in the pan and add some oregano, chilli flakes, tomato ketchup and salt to taste. Mix well.
  • Cook the sauce till most of the water is evaporated.
For Making Pizza -
  • Divide the dough in 2 to 3 parts and spread some dry flour on the rolling board.
  • With the help of your hands spread the dough slightly thicker than a Chapati and prick it all over with the help of a fork.
  • Heat a flat pan and place the spread dough on the pan and cook one side properly on low flame.
  • Now keeping the flame low flip the dough/bread and grease all the edges of the bread with butter.
  • Spread a spoon full of pizza sauce you've just prepared.
  • Grate some mozzarella cheese and spread well.
  • Spread some toss veggies and grate some cheese over it to bind the veggies.
  • Cover the pan with the lid and let it cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame.
  • Cook untill the cheese begins to melt.

 Your Cheesy Veg Pizza is ready.
